You know that I love sausage. especially the smoked sausage. This sausage is so flavorful that you don't need to do much to prepare a tasty meal. These sausage kebabs taste great, are easy to make, and are perfect for summer. These sausage kebabs are as expensive as eating out, but much cheaper. You can make these even if you do not have a barbecue. Just use a grill pan, or the broiler in your oven.
Ingredients for Sausage Kebabs
This recipe is so easy you will love it. These kebabs are easy to make with just a few ingredients from the grocery store:
- Smoked Sausages: The sausage brings the most flavor to the party, with its herbs, spices and deliciously smokey flavor. You can use any smoked sausage you like. You can use any type of smoked sausage you want.
- Vegetables If you are on a tight budget, you can use only green bell peppers or yellow onions. You can still make it delicious!
- Oil & Spices: A mix of smoked pepper, garlic powder and salt and pepper, along with a simple mixture of smoked paprika and garlic powder, gives the kebabs an extra layer of flavor. The oil keeps the spices from sticking to the grill and prevents everything from drying.
- BBQ sauce: A final coating of BBQ sauce gives kebabs an amazing sweet-tangy coating. Use any flavor of BBQ sauce. I'd go for spicy or hickory-smoky BBQ.
No Grill? No problem.
The sausage kebabs can be tossed onto a hot barbecue, but you can also make them using the broiler in your oven or a grill pan over a stovetop. Broilers on ovens are similar to grills in that they provide high heat at a close distance. Gas stoves are even more similar to a grill's open flame.
How to use a broiler. Adjust oven rack so it is 5-6 inches from broiler. Turn on the broiler. The kebabs should be placed on top of a cooling rack. The kebabs should be placed in the oven under the broiler and cooked until the tops are charred. Brush a thin layer of BBQ sauce on the side that has been cooked. Continue to cook and flip the kebabs, then brush on BBQ sauce until both sides are charred and coated with sauce.
How to use a grillpan: Heat up the grill pan on medium high heat. Allow the pan to pre-heat fully for approximately 10 minutes. Place the kebabs onto the grill pan, and cook them until they are charred. Brush a light layer of BBQ sauce on the side that has been cooked. Continue to cook and flip the kebabs, then brush on BBQ sauce until both sides are charred and coated with sauce.
What to serve with Sausage Kebabs
These sassy kebabs are perfect with summertime favorites like potato salad, macaroni and vegetable salad, corn salsa, three-bean salad, and lemon cream pie.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are some of the benefits of organic agriculture?
Organic farming provides farmers with a way of producing food without using chemicals. Farmers do not need to worry about harmful pesticides harming their crops or animals.
Organic farming also offers more natural fertilizers. These fertilizers aid in the growth of healthy plants as well as reducing the amount chemical waste.
Organic farming is also beneficial for the environment. To recycle nutrients back into soil, farmers often resort to composting. This reduces pollution and conserves valuable resources.
Organic farming can increase crop yields and help the environment. This is because organic farming requires less water to grow the crops.
Organic production methods mean farmers can get higher prices. Consumers who are more informed about the dangers of pesticides or chemical fertilizers will demand healthier food.
This raises the demand to produce organic food products. Organic farming has become increasingly popular.
Are there health benefits to eating organic food?
Even though organic foods might not be for everyone, there are some health benefits. They can be beneficial for your health if you eat them often.
Organic food is produced without artificial fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, hormones, antibiotics, or genetic engineering. Organic produce does not contain harmful chemicals that could be harmful to the human body.
There are also fewer additives used during processing. Organic products are healthier than those that use additives during processing.
Studies have shown that organic fruits and vegetables contain more nutrients than those grown conventionally.
While organic farming is generally more expensive than conventional farming, they often produce better results. Organic farming promotes soil fertility as well as biodiversity.
This helps protect against erosion and conserve water resources. Organic farms also require less energy and fuel, as they aren't treated using toxic chemicals.
Many people are concerned that organic food is more expensive than regular foods. However, prices can vary depending upon where you live. For example, organic apples can be more costly than conventional apples.
But, if we look at the total cost of a combination of both types and fruits, we'll see organic is much cheaper.
So, should you buy organic?
It depends on what kind of person you are. If organic food doesn't appeal to you, you shouldn't bother.
Organic food can be purchased if you like good-tasting food. Organic food is safer because organic produce is not grown by commercial growers who use pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
Organic agriculture preserves our environment by conserving natural resource and encouraging biodiversity.
What is an inorganic food?
Organic food is not produced with pesticides or artificial fertilizers. These chemicals can be harmful for your health.
Organic food is organically grown without the use of harmful chemicals such as pesticides or herbicides. These chemicals can cause harm to animals and humans.
Inorganic food includes meat, fish, eggs, milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, honey, grains, vegetables, fruits, spices, and herbs.
Organic refers specifically to the method an agricultural product has been grown. For example, organic farming uses natural methods and soil amendments to grow crops, while conventional farming uses synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) must set strict guidelines for organic foods. According to the National Organic Program Standards all organic food must be free of banned materials such as antibiotics growth hormones genetically modified organisms GMOs, and industrial solvents. Organic food must not be produced with toxic chemicals, petroleum or sewage sludges or ionizing radioactive substances.
Why is organic food important
Our health is dependent on organic produce. It's the best method to ensure you eat healthy foods. It is healthier for us than any pesticides or fertilizers and it is also more eco-friendly.
Organic farming uses natural methods to grow crops without harmful chemicals. This reduces the risk of environmental pollution, which makes it safer for people and animals. You are helping the planet and yourself by choosing organic food.
However, organic food is good for our health. We all know how unhealthy processed foods can make us feel. But did you know that most organic fruits and vegetables aren't treated with chemical spray either? This means they are more fresh tasting, last longer and look better.
This is why organic food is so important. Because it's not only healthy for you, it's healthier for the world.
How can you tell organic food from non-organic?
Fresh ingredients are what chefs value the most. We feel better when our food is good.
The same applies to our food. We know where our organic food came from and how it has been grown. We also know it was not treated using harmful chemicals.
Organic foods are produced without using synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, hormones, antibiotics, or genetically modified organisms (GMO). Organic farmers aren't allowed to use these substances.
However, organic farming is not an easy task. There are many ways to safely grow organic crops.
Many people refer to organic agriculture as sustainable agriculture. This means that organic farming does not use as many resources as conventional methods, but it still provides the essential nutrients needed to sustain life.
Organic farming practices include crop rotation, composting manure, cover cropping, and intercropping. These practices help to prevent soil erosion and improve water purity.
They reduce chemical runoff from waterways. Local farms can be found in cities that raise organic produce.
There are two types certified programs for organic products. One is certified under the USDA National Organic Program. The other is certified independently by certifying authorities. Both require strict compliance with organic standards.
USDA seals or O Seals can be applied to organic products. This symbol indicates that the product meets federal requirements.

How To
Organic foods: Are they healthier and more nutritious than conventional food?
Organic food is produced without chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. They are grown in natural conditions and without the use of any artificial inputs like fungicides or herbicides. Organic farming methods include crop rotation, cover, composting animal manure and recycling wastewater.
In 2002, USDA National Organic Program was established. It regulates the handling, processing, labelling and sale of organic products within the United States. NOP regulations ensure organic agricultural products conform to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Organic products must also be free from banned substances, such as pesticides residues, growth hormones and irradiation.
Two types of certification programs are available in the United States for producers who wish to have their products labeled organic. One is for farmers and ranchers; one is for manufacturers. Both programs require an annual audit of the operations in order to confirm compliance with stringent standards. Several certifying agents offer these services, including CCOF Certified Organic Farmers & Ranchers, Quality Assurance International, and the American Grassfed Association. The three organizations all provide verification by third parties that farms have followed strict guidelines for environmental stewardship as well as labour practices and the care of livestock.
According to USDA’s Economic Research Service, organic farming accounted for $4.7Billion in 2013 sales. Retail spending on certified organic products reached nearly $1.5 Billion in 2013. This is a 23 per cent increase from 2009. The number of grocery stores that sold organic products increased 12 percent over the same period. Direct purchases of organic produce saw a 29 percent increase in spending, while seafood, meat, poultry and eggs experienced a 1 percent growth.
Organic food is more expensive but the quality of organic food is worth it. According to a 2015 survey conducted by Consumer Reports, 88 percent of respondents said they would pay more for organic food if it meant higher nutritional value. Health Affairs published another study that found organic food eaters are less likely than those who consume conventional foods to have health problems such diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
Although organic foods are not proven to prevent or treat certain diseases, some research suggests that they could improve overall health and reduce exposure to pesticides. A review of 31 studies that were published in 2010 found that organically raised beef has significantly lower levels than conventionally raised beef. Similar results were also reached by a separate analysis of 11 2012 studies.
The Environmental Working Group released a report in 2014 that analyzed data from USDA's Agricultural Marketing Resource Center. They found that there was a decrease in foodborne illness due to E.coli, salmonella, listeria moncytogenes or campylobacter. The Environmental Working Group also found that E.coli O157 has been associated with fewer human illnesses in children and adults since 2006, when USDA began requiring stricter organic standards for animal production.
